The activities commemorating the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) for the year 1447 AH were launched in Ma'een District of the Capital Secretariat with prayers and blessings upon the Prophet and his family.
During the inaugural evening event for residents of Al-Maseera and Qa' Madhab neighborhoods Sama Sharafuddin Deputy Assistant Secretary-General of the Capital Secretariat for Administrative Units highlighted the significance of reviving this great religious occasion to renew and strengthen loyalty and connection to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and to emulate him in word and deed.
He emphasized that those who do not ally themselves with the Messenger of Allah inevitably fall into allegiance to his enemies among the Jews and Christians noting the coincidence of this occasion with the ongoing Zionist aggression on Gaza and the failure of Arab and Islamic regimes to address the crimes of starvation and systematic genocide against the Palestinian people.
Sharafuddin expressed pride in Yemen's sincere and honorable stance in supporting Gaza and Palestine which reflects the deep connection of the Yemeni people to the Messenger of Allah and the causes of the Ummah foremost among them the Palestinian issue and embodies the identity of a people who still cling to the light of Muhammad in these dark times.
For his part District Director Abdulmalik Al-Radhi called on all residents of Ma'een District to widely engage in commemorating the Prophet's Birthday by organizing various events and activities and decorating streets homes and neighborhoods with green lights in celebration of the birth of the Greatest Messenger praising the efforts of those organizing the evening.
The event attended by Dr Mohammed Al-Junaid Director of the Secretariat's Finance Office featured speeches by Abdulaziz Sha'fal member of the District Local Council and Ali Al-Waysi mobilization official in Madhab neighborhood who stated that this evening marked the launch of a program of celebratory events and called for active participation and mobilization to welcome this great occasion.
The evening attended by local and executive leaders social figures elders and a crowd from Madhab neighborhood included recitations poetry traditional folk performances and a purposeful play reflecting the depth of loyalty and love of the Yemeni people for the Greatest Messenger.
Families of martyrs from Qa' Madhab and Al-Maseera neighborhoods were honored in recognition of their sacrifices for the sake of Allah and the homeland renewing allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and to the martyrs who gave their lives in the fields of jihad dignity and honor
