Sana’a - Saba:
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Abdulmoamen Shujaa Al-Din, and the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Dr. Marwan Al-Muhaqri, today inaugurated an electronic service for citizens to submit complaints online through the Authority’s official website at https://jia-au.gov.ye.
The launch event was attended by the Head of the Complaints Department at the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Abdulraqeeb Al-Majidi. The two officials received a detailed briefing from the Head of the Data, Information, and Statistics Department, Judge Majid Al-Ansi, and the Authority’s software engineers, explaining the service’s mechanism.
The service allows citizens from all provinces to submit complaints through the “Services” portal on the Authority’s website. The process begins by creating an account for first-time complainants, requiring basic information such as name, address, phone number, and email (if available).
After verification and account activation, users can log in using their ID and password to access the complaint submission page. This page includes sections for complainant details, names of the accused parties, uploading supporting documents, and a “Follow-up” window where complainants can track the status of their submissions.
For complaints originating from provinces where the Authority has branch offices, these complaints will be electronically forwarded to the respective branches for study and action according to Islamic law and applicable regulations, following the Authority’s branches’ powers defined by the Supreme Judicial Council’s establishment decree.
The Chief Justice described the service as a qualitative leap in receiving citizens’ complaints electronically, reflecting the Council and Authority’s commitment to transparency, easing judicial procedures, and ensuring citizens’ rights to voice their concerns efficiently and conveniently.
He praised the Judicial Inspection Authority’s judicial and technical staff for their efforts in making this project a tangible reality. He emphasized that updating judicial work mechanisms and transitioning to digital services is a necessary response to responsibility, public interest, and contemporary demands.
Judge Marwan Al-Muhaqri highlighted that this service provides citizens with a direct, secure channel to communicate with the Judicial Inspection Authority, enabling transparent complaint submission without intermediaries or obstacles, anytime and from anywhere in the country. He called this a significant breakthrough in judicial oversight work and an achievement that boosts citizens’ trust in the justice system.
He clarified that this service does not replace traditional official channels but serves as an additional tool that accelerates access to information, facilitates interaction with citizen complaints and feedback, and supports continuous evaluation and improvement of judicial institutions’ performance.
The Head of the Authority confirmed ongoing efforts to develop and enhance all its operations to bring justice closer to the people, meet citizens’ expectations, uphold the judiciary’s dignity, and achieve swift justice.
