The Israeli enemy continues to degrade the dignity of every Palestinian in Gaza—without discrimination between child, woman, elderly, or even the disabled who cannot move.
Not content with turning aid distribution centers in Gaza into “death traps,” the enemy has targeted starving women waiting in front of the American distribution center in hopes of securing food for their children. They were subjected to direct gunfire, tear gas, and even vehicular assault, resulting in the deaths of several women and injuries to dozens more.
The Palestinian Safa News Agency has reported a first-hand account from Um Zuhair, a woman in her fifties from Jabalia, who recounts how her painful journey to secure a handful of flour and rice for her children—who hadn’t eaten for a week—ended in a bloodbath.
According to Um Zuhair, Israeli soldiers opened fire on women gathered outside an American aid center in the Al-Shakoush area west of Rafah.
She explained:
“We stood in long lines under the blazing sun. Only four aid packages were handed out among ten women. Then they told us to leave. When we objected, they sprayed us with pepper spray and opened fire, causing women to collapse from fear, panic, and exhaustion.”
She added:
“That so-called ‘women’s aid day’ was a lie… it was a death trap, not an aid center. I left for the sake of my children and my blind husband, but I barely escaped with my life.”
Um Zuhair was not the only victim of this atrocity. Um Ismail, a 56-year-old woman, also spoke about her ordeal:
“I went to get food for me and my husband. I never imagined I’d be humiliated like this.”
She added:
“I was shot in my left leg as the whole area turned into a massacre filled with bullets, smoke, and vehicles running over the wounded and the dead.”
Since aid distribution was restricted to a dubious American agency on May 27, hundreds of starving civilians waiting for help have been killed daily in what the United Nations and international organizations describe as deadly traps and ambushes.
Every day, when the hungry gather at the locations predetermined by the Americans and the Israeli enemy, Zionist soldiers and American personnel lie in wait, targeting starving souls who are seeking nothing but a bite of food to silence the cries of a child writhing from hunger.
