Hodeidah - Saba:
The General Authority for Endowments, the Guidance Sector, Dar Al-Uloom Al-Shar'iyyah University, and the Scholars and Students Unit in Hodeidah province organized a speech event today commemorating the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) under the slogan "Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah" (At Your Call, O Messenger of Allah).
During the event, Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Atifi stated that celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday is an act of gratitude to Allah for sending His finest creation as a guide, bearer of glad tidings, and warner to humanity. He highlighted the pioneering role of the Yemeni people in honoring this occasion in a manner befitting the stature of the Greatest Prophet (PBUH).
Governor Atifi emphasized that the people of Hodeidah, through such events, renew their pledge of loyalty and adherence to the path of the Prophet (PBUH). He noted that these celebrations reflect their steadfastness in confronting forces of injustice and arrogance, foremost among them the Zionist entity, which continues to commit horrific massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The event was attended by Governorate Undersecretaries Mohammed Halisi, Ali Kabari, and Ahmed Dahmos. Abdullah Shayem, Director of the Endowments Authority Office in Hodeidah, described the Prophet’s Birthday as an occasion that renews faith, unity, and alignment with the noble Prophet’s biography, strengthening resilience against the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah.
He stressed that Yemen remains steadfast in supporting the Ummah’s causes, particularly the Palestinian issue, reaffirming its principled stance against normalization and all forms of submission to oppressive powers.
Abdulrahman Al-Warfi, head of the Guidance Sector, stated that commemorating the Prophet’s Birthday is both a religious and moral duty, as well as an opportunity to promote societal awareness of the values and principles of the Prophet’s message—the path to dignity and honor for the Ummah.
He added that drawing lessons from the Prophet’s noble biography is essential in facing current challenges, particularly the siege, starvation, and aggression endured by the Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Darwish Al-Wafi, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, delivered a speech urging adherence to the Prophet’s (PBUH) morals of justice, mercy, and benevolence. He highlighted the lessons of patience and steadfastness in the Prophet’s mission, as well as the resistance against tyranny and the triumph of truth.
Al-Wafi noted that history repeats itself—just as the Ansar (supporters) in Medina stood by the Prophet (PBUH), Yemen today stands in solidarity with the oppressed in Palestine, reflecting the timeless continuity of these values.
He affirmed that celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday demonstrates the Yemeni people’s commitment to their faith-based identity, rejection of all forms of domination and colonialism, and readiness to sacrifice in defense of the Ummah’s causes. This event, he said, sends a civilizational and spiritual message of unity in facing challenges and honoring the Final Prophet (PBUH).
