Sana’a - Saba:
A ten-day administrative training course started today in Sana’a province for engineers of the Public Works Office, the Executive Unit, and community initiatives titled “Survey Program and Preparation of Studies and Designs for Infrastructure Projects and Supervision of Their Implementation.”
The course, organized by the Public Works Office and the General Administration of Research, aims to equip engineers with skills in surveying software and how to prepare studies and designs for road infrastructure projects.
In his opening speech, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qaheem emphasized the importance of developing engineers’ skills in the public works sector to positively impact their field performance and reduce technical and administrative deficiencies.
He expressed hope that participants would benefit from the course content and produce recommendations that serve the technical sector and the developmental aspect of the province, contributing to enhancing engineers’ performance in carrying out their duties competently and knowledgeably.
Governor of Sana’a, Al-Hadi, confirmed the commitment to qualifying engineers of public works, the executive unit, and community initiatives to ensure they perform their jobs correctly. He urged positive results that serve the public interest, praising the capabilities and responsiveness of the engineering team, trainers, and course organizers.
The opening was also attended by the First Deputy Governor Hamid Asim, Ministry deputies Engineer Khalid Bashmakh and Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir, and Ministry of Health’s Dr. Ali Jahaf.
Engineer Mohammed Ashiya, responsible for the Public Works sector in the province, stated the course is part of ongoing efforts by Sana’a’s leadership and the Public Works Ministry to develop capacities and improve the performance of the technical engineering staff in the province to limit problems and errors previously encountered during the implementation of Sana’a province projects plan for the years 1444-1446 AH.
He urged trainees to engage seriously and responsibly to benefit from the course and produce outputs that prevent issues and mistakes in this area.
Engineer Ashiya also highlighted the role of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works leadership in organizing the course by directing relevant ministry officials to provide qualified trainers and training materials.
