The branches of the Public Telecommunications Corporation and the General Postal Authority in Ibb province organized a speech event on Wednesday commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) under the slogan "Far from us is humiliation."
The event was attended by the Director of the General Postal Authority Branch, Engineer Khaled Abdulrab, the Deputy Director of the Telecommunications Corporation Branch in the province, Engineer Mutawalli Shahra, and the Director of the Executive Unit for Construction and Projects at the Corporation, Engineer Yassin Al-Washli.
Activist Engineer Ismail Al-Falahi reviewed the events and tragedy of Ashura, as well as the oppression suffered by Imam Hussein (AS) and the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them). He emphasized that commemorating Ashura serves as a spiritual and motivational milestone to reinforce the values of patience and steadfastness in confronting global arrogance.
Al-Falahi noted that this commemoration stems from a sense of responsibility to strengthen the faith-based identity of the Yemeni people, who are resisting the tyrants of this era led by the U.S. and Israel.
He affirmed that the ongoing events in Gaza evoke memories of what Imam Hussein (AS) endured in Karbala, where heroism is embodied in standing against tyrants and oppressors. He stressed the importance of drawing lessons from Imam Hussein’s life and reviving his values and principles in the hearts of the nation’s people.
