Sana'a - Saba:
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the mercenary-backed government's arrest of Engineer Hisham Sharaf, the former Foreign Minister, at Aden International Airport.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the source affirmed that the arrest of the former minister of the National Salvation Government and senior leader of the General People's Congress, Engineer Hisham Sharaf, exposes the true nature of those who claim to represent a united Yemen, proving that they are nothing but gangs and highway robbers.
The source described the arrest of the former Foreign Minister as a blatant violation of the right to travel and freedom of movement guaranteed by international laws and conventions.
The official pointed out that, over the past ten years, the mercenaries of aggression have arrested dozens of Yemeni citizens traveling through occupied provinces due to the closure of Sana'a International Airport—the latest being Sheikh Mohammed Al-Zaidi, who was detained in Al-Mahra Governorate.
The source stated that the aggression's mercenaries have thrown travelers into prisons and committed horrific crimes against them, flagrantly violating all religious principles, tribal norms, and social customs.
The official demanded the immediate release of Engineer Hisham Sharaf and Sheikh Al-Zaidi, calling on human rights and humanitarian organizations to condemn their arrests and pressure for their freedom, along with all detainees held in mercenary prisons.
