Sanaa - Saba:
A two-day workshop organized by the Ministry of Health and Environment in collaboration with UNICEF concluded in Sana'a to review and approve the Guide for Good Health Upbringing During the First 1,000 Days of a Child's Life.
Forty health education officials from various governorates participated in the workshop. Participants discussed the basic principles that volunteers should consider when delivering health messages, in addition to the content of the guide, which is based on the Quranic vision.
The guide aims to enable community volunteers to deliver accurate behavioral messages to mothers and families during the critical stage of a child's life, extending from birth to two years of age.
The Director of the UNICEF Field Office in Sana'a also reviewed the activities of the National Center for Health Education and Media, and the awareness-raising and media production mechanisms implemented by the center.
