Hodeidah - Saba:
A meeting was held today in Hodeidah Governorate, attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qaheim, and Hodeidah Governor Abdullah Attifi.
The meeting, which included First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri, Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi, and representatives of international organizations and humanitarian programs operating in Yemen, addressed the repercussions of repeated Zionist aggression on Hodeidah's ports and service sectors. Discussions focused on providing support in line with humanitarian requirements and addressing the aftermath of the aggression in accordance with national regulations.
The meeting reviewed damage to infrastructure at Hodeidah, Salif, and Ras Issa ports, as well as water facilities, sewage systems, and power plants.
Foreign Minister Jamal Amer stated that U.S.-Israeli attacks on civilian sites only strengthen Yemen's resolve to support Gaza, both morally and through continued assistance despite sacrifices.
He noted that Yemen suspended its support operations once a humanitarian truce was reached in Gaza and emphasized that Red Sea navigation remains normal, except for ships linked to the Zionist enemy.
Amer condemned Israel’s shift to indiscriminate civilian targeting after failing militarily to achieve its objectives.
Mohammed Qaheim highlighted Yemen’s unique stance in supporting Gaza, where actions have matched words despite threats, affirming that support for Palestine knows no limits.
He confirmed that goods continue flowing into Hodeidah Port despite attacks, but damage to Hodeidah and Salif ports directly harms civilians.
Qaheim criticized the UN’s complicity through silence, calling it a disgrace.
Abdullah Attifi stated that the enemy systematically targets civilian infrastructure vital to livelihoods, labeling attacks on Hodeidah’s ports and power plants as war crimes.
He stressed that 80% of Yemenis rely on these ports for basic needs and accused withdrawing NGOs of politically motivated actions under U.S.-Zionist agendas, unrelated to humanitarian work.
Representatives outlined urgent needs and interventions to restore services, plus challenges facing sectors due to aggression.
