Hodeida - Saba:
The Health and Environment Office in Hodeida Governorate and its branches in government directorates and hospitals today organized solidarity stands with the Palestinian people in Gaza, denouncing the crimes of genocide, starvation policy, and systematic blockade imposed by the Zionist enemy on the Strip amid international silence and the complicity of regimes loyal to the occupation.
The stands, held in health facilities and hospitals in the governorate, witnessed widespread participation from medical and health personnel, who chanted slogans condemning the occupation's crimes, which have reached their peak. This scene embodies popular anger and reflects the depth of solidarity with the victims of the aggression, including children, women, and the wounded.
The participants emphasized that what is happening in Gaza is a full-fledged crime against humanity, requiring urgent action from the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to halt the aggression, lift the blockade, and allow the immediate entry of medical and relief aid to save lives and prevent the worsening humanitarian disaster. They considered the targeting of hospitals, the denial of entry of medicines and medical supplies, and the denial of treatment to be systematic crimes that amount to war crimes, aimed at causing the greatest number of casualties, in flagrant violation of international laws protecting health facilities and their workers.
A statement issued by the vigils explained that the world's silence regarding these crimes represents blatant complicity with the criminal Zionist entity, legitimizing the killing of children and women and committing massacres against civilians. It also provides political and media cover that gives the killers the opportunity to continue their war of extermination, in flagrant violation of all international values, principles, and laws.
The statement called on the United Nations and international organizations to fulfill their legal and humanitarian duty to hold the leaders of the occupation accountable, end their double standards, take urgent action to halt the aggression, lift the siege, ensure unrestricted access to humanitarian and medical aid to the people of Gaza, and protect civilians and health facilities from the systematic targeting practiced by the enemy. The statement issued by the sit-ins affirmed that the voices of medical personnel will continue to bear witness to the crimes committed against the Palestinian people. Their humanitarian and professional duty requires them to stand with the oppressed and defend their right to life, treatment, and freedom. They must continue to expose the occupation's practices that target human beings and their right to survival, until the Palestinian people attain their full legitimate rights and justice is achieved.
