One person was killed and at least 11 others were injured in a mass shooting during a house party in western North Carolina, USA.


The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office stated on Sunday that the shooting occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. local time in the city of Hickory, located in Catawba County.


According to the sheriff’s office, one of the victims is in critical condition, while ten others remain hospitalized in serious condition.


An investigation is currently underway by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Hickory Police Department, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also participating.


No arrests have been made so far, and the exact number of shots fired remains unknown
