Gaza - Saba:
The Gaza Ministry of Health renewed its urgent appeal to relevant authorities on Tuesday to save the health system, with the remaining hospitals struggling to cope with catastrophic levels that threaten their collapse.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry stated that operating rooms, intensive care units, and emergency rooms are experiencing catastrophic conditions with an increase in serious injuries. It explained that the shortage of life-saving medicines, medical supplies, and diagnostic imaging equipment is preventing urgent surgical interventions for the wounded.
It indicated that medical teams are working under complex conditions and for extended hours in an attempt to treat the wounded and save their lives.
It noted that community appeals for blood donations have become ineffective as malnutrition among citizens worsens.
It stated that generators are operating on limited fuel reserves to supply vital departments with electricity.
