Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicts hot to very hot weather in the deserts, plains, and coastal areas, with rainfall of varying intensity in several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to the center's weather bulletin, hot to very hot and dry weather is expected in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 44 degrees Celsius.
The weather will be hot and humid along the coasts, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 38 degrees Celsius.
Rain of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is likely in scattered areas of the governorates of Sa'dah, Amran, Hajjah, west of Sana'a, Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al Dhale'a, Taiz, and the highlands of Lahj.
The center reported that the amount of rainfall over the past 24 hours, measured at meteorological stations in Taiz, was 0.7 mm, and in Ibb, 0.5 mm. Scattered rain also fell on parts of the mountainous regions, particularly in the governorates of Lahj and Saada.
The center warned citizens of the hot and extremely hot weather and advised them to avoid direct sunlight during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids.
It also warned against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall and advised them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
