The general directive of the Gaza Humanitarian Institution has surprisingly resigned, as the US-supported agency was getting prepared to bring assistance into the war-torn Strip.
The manager, Wood, said late on Sunday that he had to leave after realizing that the agency could not achieve its mission with commitment to humanitarian principles.
Like many others, he was frightened and heartbroken because the hunger crisis seen by Gaza, the director added in a statement.
