Ibb - Saba:
The branch of the General Authority for Zakat in Ibb province inaugurated on Wednesday the project of distributing zakat in kind to poor beneficiaries in all districts of the province.
The distribution includes 18,000 cups of various types of grains worth 200 million riyals, which will be distributed to 18,000 families of the poor .
During the distribution, Ali Al-Saqqaf, First Undersecretary of the General Authority for Zakat, explained that the Authority and its branches are exerting great efforts to fulfill their duty and responsibility to fulfill one of God's duties.
Qassim Al-Masawi, deputy governor of the province, praised the work and projects of the Zakat Commission and its branches for the poor , the keenness to collect zakat and distribute it according to the legal texts and banks.
He emphasized that the attention of the Revolution Leader and the directive to establish an independent zakat authority was sufficient to achieve success and effectiveness, which we see today after the zakat suffered from imbalances in collection , distribution, and did not play its role as God intended.
For his part, the director of the Zakat Commission branch in the province, Majid al-Tinah, confirmed that the distribution process is carried out according to a mechanism that ensures that in-kind zakat of grains reaches all beneficiaries smoothly and easily. He pointed out that the beneficiary families were selected according to field survey committees, with the cooperation and participation of the relevant authorities.
The public mobilization official in Yarim al-Hassani district praised the work of the Zakat Commission and its efforts to alleviate the suffering of the poor and needy.
