Hajjah – SABA:
A woman was killed and a young girl injured today after a lightning strike hit Al-Jumaymah District in Hajjah Governorate.
A local source reported that the strike occurred in Bani Al-Dhubb village, Bani Mafdal subdistrict, resulting in the death of Khairiyah Mohammed Sagheer Al-Majjash, 58, and the injury of 9-year-old Aisha Mohammed Ahmed Al-Majjash.
The source noted that this marks the fourth fatality and second injury from lightning strikes in the past two weeks.
Citizens were urged to take necessary safety precautions during thunderstorms, including turning off mobile phones and avoiding open areas or tall objects such as trees.
