New York - Saba: The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) said that mothers and newborns in the Gaza Strip are being left to a deadly fate.

The fund added on Tuesday, according to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, that 4 out of 10 pregnant or breastfeeding women in Gaza suffer from acute malnutrition.

It explained that 1 in 7 newborns in Gaza requires intensive care to survive.
