Ibb - Saba:
Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hasan al-Sa’adi and Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah conducted on Tuesday an inspection visit to several model schools in the city of Ibb to assess the ongoing educational process.
Accompanied by Provincial Mobilization Official Abdulfattah Ghaleb and Education Sector Leader Mohammed al-Ghazali, the delegation visited al-Sammad Secondary School for Outstanding Students, Shaheed Al-Qur’an School, and Balqis Model Schools in Al-Zahhar District.
They received briefings on academic performance, institutional plans for the new school year, and ongoing efforts to improve the learning environment despite the country’s difficult circumstances.
Minister al-Sa’adi praised the exceptional standard of Al-Sammad School and its role in nurturing top-performing students, emphasizing the need for special attention to such institutions as vital contributors to Yemen’s scientific future.
He also commended Shaheed Al-Qur’an School for its engaged students and dedicated teaching staff, who continue to fulfill their educational mission amidst national challenges.
During his visit to Balqis Model Schools, the minister reviewed the school’s implementation of digital learning in line with the national curriculum, as well as its tech labs and educational initiatives. He highlighted the "Fourth-Generation Educational Robotics Program" as a key innovation that fosters students’ digital and programming skills in line with global educational trends.
In a related development, the minister and governor, along with educational leaders, participated in a student rally organized by schools in Al-Mashannah District, denouncing the crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Gaza.
Minister al-Sa’adi described the deliberate starvation, blockade, and systematic killings in Gaza as war crimes against humanity. He called for greater mobilization within the education sector to support the Palestinian cause, lauding the strong engagement of Ibb’s schools and educators in championing the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation.
He added that students taking the lead in such demonstrations sends a powerful message to the world—that the Yemeni people, despite their hardships, remain committed to the principles of justice and freedom and refuse to remain silent in the face of genocide targeting innocent civilians in Gaza.
