Sana’a – Saba:
The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obad, along with the Deputy Minister of Local Administration for Rural Development, Nabil Al-Damashqi, inaugurated on Tuesday the new complaints service through the toll-free number (8000072) for the Cleaning Fund and Project in the Capital Secretariat and its branches, as well as the launch of the Fund's official website.
Dr. Obad and Al-Damashqi were briefed by the Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund, Mohammed Sharaf Al-Din, on the components of the complaints system, the services it provides, and its electronic integration with relevant cleanliness-related entities. The system will also issue periodic reports on performance and the number of complaints received and referred to specialists.
Sharaf Al-Din explained that the complaint system was developed by the Fund and enables any entity or citizen to inquire about all the services offered by the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, the procedures for obtaining them, and the responsible departments. It also receives suggestions and initiatives related to cleanliness and the environment.
The Mayor noted that the toll-free number allows citizens to report any shortcomings or lack of response by the cleaning sector in any street or location, which will contribute to improving services and general conditions in various neighborhoods and streets.
He emphasized the importance of this step, especially in light of the ongoing preparations for the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday, stressing that the capital should reflect the honor and love of the Prophet.
Dr. Obad affirmed that reports from citizens will be given significant attention and referred to the concerned authorities, and that the public can track cleanliness status and shortcomings in any area of the capital via the website.
Additionally, the Mayor, the Deputy Minister, the Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund, and the Director of the Cleaning Project, Ibrahim Al-Surabi, launched the distribution of 400 waste bins across various streets and neighborhoods.
He stressed the importance of maintaining the bins and keeping neighborhoods clean by disposing of household waste in designated places, urging everyone to uphold cleanliness and discourage harmful behaviors.
