Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stressed in a message he published on "X" platform, the importance of immediate and effective mobilization of regional countries and their unity to stop the Zionist attacks and the ongoing destruction of infrastructure in Syria.
Tasnim International News Agency reported that Araqchi indicated in his post that the Zionist entity has destroyed almost all defense and civilian infrastructure in Syria, in addition to violating the 1974 agreement and Security Council Resolution 350, and expanding the occupation of additional lands in Syria.
Araqchi criticized the Security Council's inability to perform its primary role in stopping illegal attacks, attributing this to the obstacles placed by the United States, which has turned the Council into a helpless spectator.
He stressed that Syria's neighbors, along with the Arab and Islamic worlds, and every member state of the United Nations that believes in the rule of law and the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, cannot stand idly by in the face of this situation.
He stressed that urgent and effective mobilization and unity of the countries of the region is necessary to stop the Zionist aggression and systematic destruction of Syria, calling for concerted efforts to confront these ongoing violations.
