The Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development strongly on Sunday condemned the Israeli occupation army's "heinous crime" , which resulted in the death of five journalists in Gaza due to deliberate bombing, raising the total number of journalists martyred since the start of the aggression to 222.
The center stated that this systematic targeting aims to silence the free press and conceal the horrific crimes against Gaza civilians, a blatant violation of international conventions, including the Geneva Conventions and UN Security Council Resolution 2222.
It emphasized that targeting journalists is a war crime demanding accountability and poses a threat to press freedom.
The center called on the international community and human rights organizations to take immediate action to stop these violations, protect journalists, and ensure the perpetrators are held accountable.
