Helsinki - (Saba):

Five people were killed in a helicopter collision and crash in Finland, according to Finnish police.

"Five people were killed in the helicopter accident near Aura Airport on Saturday," Inspector General Johannes Cyrila said in a statement. According to the data of each helicopter, one was carrying three people and the other two.

They took off from Tallinn, Estonia, and were heading to the city of Pikkäärvi, located a few kilometers from the crash site.

Media reported that the five dead were businessmen. The accident occurred west of the capital, Helsinki, around noon. Authorities have not yet revealed the cause.

The Finnish newspaper Iltalehti quoted an eyewitness as saying he saw one of the helicopters collide with the other. He explained, "One fell like a stone, while the other fell more slowly."
