Barcelona – Saba:
Spanish-Moroccan teenage sensation Lamine Yamal has become the center of attention in the global football scene after securing his second La Liga title with Barcelona. The achievement came following Barcelona's victory over Espanyol in the 36th round of La Liga on Thursday evening.
With this triumph, Yamal has equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s number of La Liga titles, with both players having won the league twice. However, the time taken to achieve this feat was vastly different, as reported by Al Mayadeen TV.
Ronaldo needed nine full seasons with Real Madrid (between 2009 and 2018) to win his two La Liga titles (2011-2012 and 2016-2017). In contrast, Yamal has claimed his second league title before even turning 18—his birthday is in July.
Yamal made his first-team debut for Barcelona in April 2023 at just 15 years old, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history to feature in an official match.
Since then, the young talent has continued to deliver impressive performances, both in La Liga and European competitions.
Today, Lamine Yamal stands as one of the most promising rising stars in world football and is seen as a key pillar for the future of both Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
