Tunisia - Saba:
Dozens of Tunisians organized a mass demonstration in front of the Municipal Theater in the capital, Tunis, on Saturday evening, rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and denouncing the Zionist enemy's continued genocide against them and its violations in the occupied West Bank.
The demonstration was called for by the Palestine Supporters Association in Tunisia, under the slogan: "The era of catastrophes is over... and victories have begun... We will remain vigilant until the genocide stops." This demonstration is part of the weekly activities the association has been organizing since October 7, 2023.
The protesters raised banners and held up slogans demanding an end to the Zionist genocide, most notably: "Freedom for Palestine," "Stop the genocide," "We will remain vigilant until the genocide stops," and "Resistance: No peace or compromise."
Murad Al-Yaqoubi, a member of the association's board, said that the demonstration is part of a series of weekly protests that began since the beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, stressing that the activities will continue until the siege is lifted and the genocide stops.
He added that the vigil also serves to commemorate the 1948 Nakba, the greatest humanitarian catastrophe in modern history, when an unjust partition was imposed on Palestine and its people were displaced to camps both inside and outside the homeland.
He emphasized that the Palestinians are the rightful owners of the land of Palestine, and that no matter how long the occupation lasts, it will end as long as Palestinian groups cling to their rights, whether in the diaspora, in camps, or under enemy rule.
Since October 7, 2023, the enemy has been committing crimes of genocide in Gaza, leaving approximately 174,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
