Ibb - Saba:
The Fifth International Scientific Conference on Modern Smart Technologies and Their Applications opened on Tuesday at Ibb University, organized by the university and Yemen Research Foundation, with 550 researchers from 32 countries participating. The conference will last two days.
Minister of Education Hasan al-Sa'adi highlighted the conference’s role in enhancing research outputs and innovation as key drivers for comprehensive development. Ibb Governor Abdulwahid Salah praised the university’s pioneering role in education and workforce preparation.
University rector Dr. Nasr al-Hujaili emphasized progress in digital transformation, including automated student services and infrastructure development.
The conference features about 83 research papers covering AI, cybersecurity, big data, robotics, smart cities, renewable energy, and related fields.
Following the opening, officials toured new labs and classrooms. The Minister and Governor also launched the revamped Ibb University website and an automated student document issuance system to streamline administrative processes.
