Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Bajala'ah on Tuesday emphasized the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities fully receive their rights, particularly facilitating their access to public facilities and services.
This came during a meeting with the coordination committee for the “Access Ways” workshop.
He highlighted the role of government agencies and the private sector in improving service quality and implementing the national strategy for people with disabilities.
The minister pointed out that empowering and integrating people with disabilities is a priority for the leadership and that providing an environment free of physical and social barriers ensures their independence and active participation in society.
The Executive Director of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund underscored the need for a clear mechanism to enforce directives related to the rights of people with disabilities, involving all relevant parties to ensure compliance with appropriate infrastructure standards.
Officials from the Capital Sana'a confirmed their commitment to overseeing the implementation of projects that consider the needs of people with disabilities, contributing to sustainable development and securing their legal rights.
