Sana’a - Saba:
The Ministry of Finance on Monday concluded the first phase of a training program based on the lessons from the sermons and wisdom of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him) regarding public responsibility and the management of state affairs, as taught by leader Abdulmalik bin Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
Organized by the National Center for Capacity Building and Decision Support at the Presidential Office, the program targeted deputy ministers, assistant deputies, and general directors within the Ministry of Finance, Tax Authority, and Customs Authority.
Minister of Finance Abduljabbar Ahmed emphasized the program’s importance in fostering a culture of responsibility, fairness, and sound decision-making, especially given the ministry’s direct service to a broad segment of the public.
He noted that the program offers a valuable opportunity to broaden participants’ perspectives, inspire creativity, and present exemplary models that uphold the trust placed in government employees.
Minister Abduljabbar also praised the National Center for Capacity Building and Decision Support for its dedication to the program’s success, stressing the necessity that the program’s concepts and insights translate into practical application and improved behavior among ministry staff.
Head of the National Center Dr. Yahya al-Mahaqeri highlighted that the Ministry of Finance is the first government entity to implement the approved program.
He pointed out the ministry’s key role, given its broad public interface, and described the program as an opportunity for self-reflection, behavior correction, and identifying and remedying weaknesses.
