Today, Tuesday, the Zionist occupation authorities forced Palestinian Jerusalemite Subhiya Shqirat to carry out the self-demolition of her house in the town of Jabal Al-Mukabbir, southeast of occupied Quds, under the pretext of unlicensed construction.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that Shqirat was compelled to demolish her own house to avoid exorbitant fines and demolition fees imposed by the Zionist occupation municipality. This came after she received an administrative order giving her only a few days to carry out the demolition.
The 55-square-meter house, which had stood for over 12 years, housed a family of five.
The Zionist occupation authorities continue to enforce the policy of forced self-demolition against Jerusalemites as part of their demographic and displacement pressure, aiming to empty the city of its Palestinian residents in favor of colonial settlement expansion.
