The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Wednesday, the launch of large-scale naval exercises under the name "July Storm" in strategic areas including the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic Ocean, in addition to the Baltic Sea and the Caspian Sea.
The ministry stated in an official statement that the exercises are being conducted from July 23 to 27 under the overall command of the Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Forces, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, with the participation of forces from the Northern, Pacific, and Baltic Fleets, in addition to the Caspian Sea Fleet.
According to the ministry, the exercises aim to verify the readiness of naval formations to carry out unconventional operational tasks, and to test combat capabilities in the use of high-precision and long-range weapons, unmanned systems, and advanced models of weapons and military equipment.
