Spanish club Atlético Madrid announced on Wednesday the signing of young player Marc Pubill on a contract running until 2030, with the defender joining from UD Almería.

In a statement published on its official website, the club confirmed that the 22-year-old Pubill's signing aims to strengthen the first-team squad ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

Pubill was a regular starter for Almería last season and becomes Atlético's fifth signing in the current summer transfer window.

Atlético Madrid, which finished third in La Liga last season with 72 points, aims to build a competitive squad for a strong UEFA Champions League campaign.
