A speech event was held on Wednesday in Ad-Dahi district of Al Hodeida province to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), under the slogan "Far from us is humiliation."
The event was attended by Assistant Governor Ghalib Hamzah and Northern Axis Commander Major General Fadhel Al-Dhayani. The speeches delivered on the occasion highlighted the noble life of Imam Hussein (AS), his embodiment of justice and dignity in confronting oppression and deviation, and the importance of drawing inspiration from these values in the current reality of the Muslim nation.
The speeches also addressed the ongoing oppression faced by the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, including bombardment, siege, and starvation, emphasizing that the path of Imam Hussein (AS) serves as a beacon for all oppressed peoples in confronting arrogance and domination.
They stressed the importance of raising awareness about the dimensions of the Battle of Karbala in reviving collective consciousness, fostering solidarity, and connecting the lessons of Ashura to contemporary challenges and stances.
Additionally, the event underscored the need to uphold the authentic Muhammadan values embodied by Imam Hussein (AS) in his conduct and struggle, calling for enhanced cultural and social awareness of such unifying occasions.
