Muscat - Saba:
Natural gas production in the Sultanate of Oman—including domestic production and imports—recorded a slight increase of 0.5 percent by the end of April 2025, reaching approximately 17 billion 945 million 200 thousand cubic meters, compared to 17 billion 847 million 600 thousand cubic meters during the same period in 2024.
Data released by the National Center for Statistics and Information on Saturday attributed this increase primarily to a 10.8 percent growth in associated gas production, while non-associated and imported gas production declined by 2.1 percent.
The data also indicated that natural gas consumption in industrial projects amounted to 9 billion 321 million 200 thousand cubic meters, while power generation plants consumed 4 billion 328 million 100 thousand cubic meters.
