Beijing - Saba:
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that the attacks launched by the US military on Iranian nuclear facilities "set a dangerous and illegal precedent," warning of their international consequences.
During a joint press conference with his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, Wang said: "Preemptive strikes are illegal, and the excessive use of force only exacerbates the conflict and fuels the cycle of hatred. US strikes on nuclear facilities belonging to a sovereign state set a bad precedent."
The Chinese Foreign Minister added, "If these attacks had led to a nuclear catastrophe, the entire world would have paid the price," stressing that "war will not solve the Iranian problem."
It is worth noting that the Israeli entity launched a blatant aggression against vital and civilian targets in Iran on June 13, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. Iran responded on the same day by bombing strategic targets in the occupied territories. The aggression also included American and Israeli bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, followed by an Iranian attack on the US Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar on June 24, before US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between the two sides.
