Hajjah - Saba:
The Women's Committee in Hajjah province organized cultural events on Saturday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
Speeches during the events, held in the areas of Bani Jish, Abu Hadi, Al-Buraik, and Al-Mahsoub in Al-Shahil district, as well as Al-Mahal, Bani Al-Shamakh, Bayt Al-Aroudi, Sa'dan, and Al-Wa'liyah in Al-Muftah district, emphasized the importance of reviving the memory of Ashura as part of the Yemeni people's identity in following the path of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).
They pointed out that the tragedy of Karbala exposed the dire state of the Muslim nation at that time and its deviation from the true Islamic path.
The speeches highlighted that the Yemeni people take pride in following the path of Imam Hussein (AS) by standing today against tyrants and oppressors, supporting the oppressed, and embodying Islam through its principles, values, and authenticity.
Meanwhile, speeches at events held in Mustaba district, the areas of Al-Mahjan, Qadam, and Al-Ghurabi Al-A'la in the governorate center, Al-Huwait in Mabin district, Al-Mazra'ah in Sharas district, Jayah in Aflah Al-Yaman district, and Sabir in Kaidnah district stressed that the Muslim nation today is in dire need of drawing lessons from the sacrifices, stances, and courage of Imam Hussein (AS).
The events featured various segments, chants, and expressive poetic recitations.
Additionally, the Women's Committee in Bani Jish (Al-Shahil), Bani Al-Shamakh, and Al-Wa'liyah (Al-Muftah) held solidarity stands with the Palestinian people.
Participants in the stands condemned the ongoing crimes of the Zionist entity against women and children in Gaza, supported by the U.S. and with shameful Arab complicity. They praised the honorable stances of the Yemeni people and their leadership in supporting their Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza.
