Hodeida - Saba:
The Women’s Authority in Al-Hodeida province organized two cultural events on Saturday in the districts of Al-Dahi and Al-Mughlaf to commemorate Ashura—the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)—under the slogan "Far from us is humiliation."
At the event in Al-Dahi, speeches emphasized that Imam Hussein’s path represents a living extension of the struggle for truth and dignity, noting that Ashura serves as a milestone to reinforce awareness and steadfastness against tyranny and arrogance. The speeches highlighted that Imam Hussein’s sacrifices established a school of resistance for freedom fighters across time and place, a school exemplified today by the resilience of the Yemeni people against the nation’s enemies and the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza despite ongoing massacres.
Meanwhile, speeches at the Al-Mughlaf event stressed that the Hussein-inspired approach is the cornerstone in the battle for consciousness and identity, embodying the spirit of defiance carried by the nation’s free people in confronting the Zionist occupation and its tools. The event underscored that the battle of Karbala is renewed today in the fields of Gaza, the West Bank, Yemen, and Lebanon, condemning the brutal crimes committed by the Zionist entity against women and children in Gaza.
Speakers affirmed that Yemeni women draw inspiration from Zainab bint Ali (peace be upon them) in patience and steadfastness on the frontlines, vowing to remain fully present in the battles of awareness, mobilization, and resilience. Commemorating Ashura was described as an annual occasion to renew commitment to truth, stand with the oppressed, and mobilize society with the values of revolution and sacrifice, stressing that solidarity with Gaza is the true measure of Hussein-inspired loyalty.
Participants emphasized strengthening ties with Imam Hussein and renewing the pledge to support the nation’s causes, foremost among them Palestine—the central front in the struggle against the Zionist-American project. Both events denounced the shameful international silence toward the Palestinian people’s suffering, calling for escalated popular and media outrage and continued mobilization along the path of "Al-Aqsa Flood" until victory and liberation are achieved.
