Geneva – Saba:
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported on Saturday that it had documented several cases in recent days of Israeli occupation forces’ "quadcopter" drones breaking into civilians’ houses and shelters in the Gaza Strip while emitting horrifying sounds.
In a statement, the Geneva-based rights organization said the drones broadcast a range of distressing sounds, including dogs mauling children’s bodies, terrified screams of children in pain, and desperate pleas from elderly people.
The monitor explained that the drones also play sounds of "women’s ululations, implying death or tragedy, alongside continuous ambulance sirens meant to create the illusion of nearby massacres."
The report emphasized that the Israeli army uses quadcopter drones as tools for psychological terror, surveillance, and direct killing, reflecting a deliberate strategy to strip away any sense of safety and turn displacement sites into death traps.
It stressed that all such practices by the Israeli military are part of a coordinated and systematic approach within the framework of genocide.
Over the months of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, quadcopter drones have become one of the most brutal weapons of killing and terror used by Israeli forces to target civilians and spread fear, particularly among children.
With U.S. and European support, the Israeli military has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 54,381 Palestinians, most of them children , women, and injuring 124,054 others—figures that remain non-final, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in inaccessible areas, beyond the reach of rescue teams.
