The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on Sunday the continuation of its medical and humanitarian efforts across various areas of the Gaza Strip despite the challenging circumstances.
Al-Amal Hospital, affiliated with the society in Khan Younis governorate, received a number of casualties transferred from other hospitals in Khan Younis.
In a press statement, the society indicated that all operating rooms in the hospital are functioning to perform urgent surgical interventions, in addition to reinforcing medical teams and providing necessary supplies to ensure urgent care for the wounded and injured.
Following surgeries, some cases were admitted to the intensive care unit to monitor their health conditions, according to the society.
It stated: "A number of cases were transferred to the society's Al-Amal Field Hospital to alleviate the burden on Al-Amal General Hospital amid the increasing number of injuries and the urgent need for rapid intervention."
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society also affirmed its commitment to continuing its humanitarian duty and providing medical and relief support to citizens, as part of its efforts to ease the burden on civilians in light of the worsening humanitarian conditions.
