A training course concluded today, June 1, 2025, in Sana’a for 1,950 members of the Capital Secretariat’s traffic police, under the slogan “Firmness with Kindness.” The program aimed to enhance officers’ skills in humane interaction with citizens and promote traffic safety.
During the event, Major General Ahmed Jaafar, Deputy Minister of Interior for Security and Police Affairs, emphasized that traffic police work goes beyond regulating traffic or issuing violations—it is a moral and civilized duty that reflects the state’s commitment to the citizen’s safety and dignity. He noted that the course marks the beginning of an ongoing development process.
Major General Dr. Bakeel Al-Barashi, Director General of Traffic Police, stated that the training is part of a broader effort to improve performance, link duty with compassion, and strengthen awareness and discipline among traffic personnel.
Yahya Qassem Abu Awadah, a member of Ansarullah’s Cultural Office, highlighted the important image traffic officers portray of Yemen to the world and stressed the need to support and encourage them in their law enforcement roles.
The event concluded with visits to the Unified Traffic Services Center and the General Department of Traffic to review operations. Outstanding officers and personnel were honored with certificates of appreciation for their excellence in performance.
