Wall Street's major stock indices closed mixed at the end of the trading session, but they recorded their largest monthly gain since November 2023.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index ended the session down 4.97 points, or 0.06%, to close at 5,907.20.
The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 62.11 points, or 0.32%, to 19,113.77.
Conversely, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 27.26 points, or 0.06%, to 42,242.99.
