Quds – Saba:
Zionist settlers stormed the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood on Monday afternoon, raising slogans demanding its "seizure and occupation."
The Quds Governorate stated in an official press release (reported by Palestinian News Agency) that:
1. This incursion constitutes an aggressive and provocative act, violating international law and UN resolutions while directly targeting UN institutions in occupied Palestinian territory.
2. The assault reflects escalating settlement expansion backed by the enemy government, systematically erasing Palestinian presence and international legitimacy—including humanitarian agencies serving refugees.
3. It challenges global legitimacy and advances ethnic cleansing policies in Quds.
The Governorate emphasized that this attack aligns with broader efforts to:
- Liquidate UNRWA and abolish the refugee issue (a cornerstone of Palestinian rights, including Resolution 194's right of return).
- Replace international frameworks with forced displacement schemes.
Demands to the International Community:
- Immediate protection for UNRWA facilities/staff
- Guarantees for unimpeded humanitarian operations
- Accountability for Israel’s violations
The statement reaffirmed Jerusalem’s Palestinian-Arab identity, resilience against Judaization, and the sanctity of refugee rights as protected by international law.
