Gaza - Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza said that the Israeli enemy's deliberate prevention of the entry of aid confirms its use of food and medicine as a weapon of war against civilians.
The Office added in a statement on Wednesday: "For the third consecutive day, the Israeli enemy continues to prevent the entry of humanitarian and relief aid trucks into the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of its previously announced commitments and pledges, and as a continuation of its systematic policy of blockade and starvation against more than 2.4 million Palestinian civilians living in catastrophic humanitarian conditions."
"The enemy has halted the entry of aid—which it claimed it would allow in last Monday—without any legal or humanitarian justification, at a time when the Gaza Strip is experiencing deteriorating health and living conditions and a severe shortage of food, medicine, and fuel, threatening a worsening humanitarian disaster that threatens the lives of the population."
It dubbed this behavior to confirm the occupation's deliberate use of food and medicine as a weapon of war against civilians, as it has closed all crossings for 80 days, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and all humanitarian norms and conventions. This holds it fully responsible for the repercussions of this aggressive policy.
The Office called on the international community, the United Nations, and humanitarian and human rights organizations to take urgent action and pressure the occupation to open the crossings and ensure the flow of aid without delay or hindrance, and to work diligently to end the unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip for more than 18 years.
