Three Palestinian civilians were shot and injured Tuesday evening by armed settlers and Zionist occupation forces in Beitillu village, northwest of Ramallah city.
Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian News Agency that settlers from "Halamish" settlement and its outposts, under Israeli army protection, attacked the "Al-Dhahr" area on the outskirts of Beitillu village. They assaulted several homes including that of citizen Mohammed Othman Ziyada, opening fire at residents who confronted them, leaving three civilians wounded by live ammunition who were transferred to Ramallah Hospital - one reported in critical condition.
Witnesses added that the occupation forces protecting the settlers intensively fired toxic gas canisters and physically assaulted several citizens, causing bruises and cases of asphyxiation.
According to a report by the Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, occupation forces and settlers carried out 1,693 attacks during April alone, continuing the Zionist enemy's relentless campaign of terror against Palestinian people, lands and properties.
The report specified that occupation soldiers committed 1,352 attacks while settlers carried out 341 assaults, primarily concentrated in: Hebron Governorate (292 attacks), Ramallah and Al-Bireh (269 attacks), and Nablus (254 attacks).
