Gaza - Saba:
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) welcomed on Tuesday the Spanish Parliament's vote in favor of considering a proposed law aimed at banning arms trade with the Israeli occupation. The PFLP called for the completion of the process with the final approval of the law and its practical implementation.
In a press release issued Tuesday evening, the PFLP said that the decision represents "an important political development that reflects growing global awareness and increasing support for the rights of the Palestinian people within European institutions, driven by pressure from the Spanish street and the progressive positions of the Spanish government, and a rejection of military relations with an entity that commits crimes of genocide against civilians, especially children."
The PFLP stressed that the decision should serve as a model for other parliaments around the world, especially those in the European Union, to emulate in order to halt support for the Israeli killing machine and adhere to international humanitarian law.
The Front called on all Western governments and parliaments to stop supplying the entity with weapons, impose sanctions on it, and isolate it as a rogue and outcast entity committing genocide, as a prelude to holding it accountable internationally for the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, especially children.
