Tehran - Saba:
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the enemy's efforts aim to spread ideas of weakness, division, and discord within Iran. He noted that Iran's success, development, and progress in various fields disappoint and frustrate the country's enemies, adding that US President Donald Trump's statements are contradictory.
During a ceremony marking the second anniversary of the return of the 86th Iranian Navy Fleet after successfully completing its missions, and in commemoration of the martyrs of service (Martyr Ayatollah Raisi and his companions), the Iranian president said, "It is a great honor to be able to meet our military needs and equipment without relying on others in the military and defense field."
Referring to the US president's recent statements during his visit to regional countries, Pezeshkian explained, according to the Iranian news agency "IRNA," that no one believes Trump's words against the Iranian people. On the one hand, he talks about peace and tranquility, while on the other, he threatens to use the latest means of killing. With contradictory statements, he simultaneously sends a message of peace, killing, and insecurity.
The Iranian president continued, emphasizing that Iran does not seek war; rather, it negotiates and holds talks. However, it is not afraid of threats and will not give up its legal rights under any circumstances.
Pezeshkian believes that problems can be overcome and the country can be placed on the path of development and progress, saying, "We will do everything in our power for the development and success of our country and our dear people. We are working." Strengthening unity and cohesion day by day, and expanding the horizons of brotherhood and friendship with the countries of the region and neighbors more than ever before.
In his speech, he addressed the developments in Gaza, criticizing the silence of human rights advocates in the face of the brutal Zionist killing of 60,000 defenseless and innocent people, and the deprivation of women and children from food and water. He questioned how peace could be achieved for humanity with these crimes, emphasizing that it is impossible to talk about peace and human rights in the shadow of genocide and the killing of innocents.
Referring to the sanctions imposed on the International Criminal Court in The Hague by criminals and those who claim to uphold human rights and democracy because of its condemnation of Netanyahu, Pezeshkian believed that these parties want the court's ruling to be based on their own standards.
He added, "Any free person with chivalry will not be ashamed to confront these actions and positions, and will not accept to be a supporter of a small group of totalitarians. We are determined to take our country to the heights of success and progress that they cannot even imagine."
The Iranian president emphasized that Iran will not back down from taking advantage of these circumstances. It is an inalienable human right, and it will not give up its glorious military, academic, scientific, and nuclear achievements simply because they threaten it.
He went on to explain that they accuse Iran of terrorism, but the reality proves that they are the terrorists and that they are threatening Iran's scientists, men, and people.
Regarding the claims of American officials who describe Iran as a cause of insecurity in the region, the Iranian president said, "In their view, we are a cause of insecurity because we do not want to bow to their intimidation and claim that we are steadfast and firm in our roots."
