Beirut - Saba:
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri affirmed Beirut's full commitment to the ceasefire agreement with the Zionist enemy on Saturday.
According to Russia Today, Berri stressed the need for the committee monitoring the implementation of the agreement to implement its promise to activate its presence to halt Zionist violations and attacks.
He explained that what is primarily required is for the United States to take the initiative to compel the Zionist enemy to respect this agreement, noting that Lebanon is committed to the agreement and its current decision is to be patient and steadfast in the face of challenges.
Berri also indicated that Lebanon will not be safe and sound as long as the south is exposed to Israeli aggression, explaining that Lebanon is a complete, interconnected body, and any disruption to one of its parts automatically affects the rest of the body.
It is worth noting that a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the enemy was announced on November 26, with the enemy to withdraw from Lebanese territory after sixty days.
The deadline for implementing the agreement was extended until February 18, but the enemy has not adhered to its terms. Its forces remain present at five locations in southern Lebanon, while it launches daily airstrikes targeting several areas in southern Lebanon.
