Gaza - Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that the Zionist enemy has been preventing the entry of baby formula and food supplies into the Gaza Strip for 64 days. More than 3,500 children are close to starving to death.
In a press statement issued today, Sunday, the Government Media Office reiterated its warning of an imminent humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip due to the continued closure of crossings and the tightening of the stifling blockade for more than 64 consecutive days. It also prevented the entry of baby formula, nutritional supplements, and all forms of humanitarian aid, which has led to more than 70,000 children being hospitalized due to severe malnutrition.
He added, "Under this systematic blockade, more than 3,500 children under the age of five are at imminent risk of death by starvation, while approximately 290,000 children are on the brink of death. At the same time, 1.1 million children daily lack the minimum food necessary for survival. This is a crime of genocide perpetrated by the Israeli enemy through starvation, amid shameful international silence."
He stressed that "the systematic starvation policy pursued by the enemy against children in the Gaza Strip, and the denial of food and medicine, constitutes a full-fledged crime of genocide under international law. The international community bears responsibility for its complicity through silence and failure to pressure the enemy to end this criminal and immoral blockade and save the lives of 1.1 million children in the Gaza Strip before hunger and killing claim the lives of more innocent children."
He called on "the international community, United Nations institutions, various humanitarian and international organizations, and relevant parties to take urgent and immediate action to pressure for the immediate and regular opening of the crossings and the entry of baby milk and nutritional supplements, and to end this inhumane blockade."
At dawn on March 18, 2025, the Israeli enemy resumed its aggression and tightened blockade of the Gaza Strip, following a two-month cessation under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19. However, the enemy violated the terms of the agreement throughout the truce period.
