Mahwit - Saba:
The Governor of Al-Mahwit, Hanin Qatina, honored Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, the former president of Sana’a University, in appreciation of his academic dedication and his role in supporting higher education at the national level, as well as his unwavering support for Al-Mahwit University since its establishment.
During the ceremony, attended by the President of Al-Mahwit University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalabi, Governor Qatina praised the outstanding efforts of Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas during his tenure as president of Sana’a University.
He noted that Dr. Al-Qasim led the university during an exceptionally complex period, successfully ensuring the continuity of higher education, enhancing academic , administrative performance, expanding cooperation with universities , scientific institutions both within Yemen and abroad.
Governor Qatina emphasized that this recognition honors all those who faithfully serve their national duty and prioritize the interests of education above all else.
For his part, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas expressed his gratitude for the honor, stating that serving education is a collective responsibility requiring unified efforts.
He stressed the importance of supporting emerging universities as a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development and building a knowledge-based society.
