Mahrah - Saba:
The sit-in committee in Qishn District, Al-Mahrah Province, held a meeting chaired by Saeed Afri, head of the Political Department of the province’s sit-in committee, to discuss the repercussions of deteriorating public services, economic decline, and their impact on citizens' living conditions.

Attended by committee member Salem Al-Zuwaidi, appointed by the Peaceful Sit-in Committee of Al-Mahrah’s Sons, along with Qishn District’s sit-in committee head Issa Al-Jadhi and his deputy Omar Al-Jadhi, the meeting reviewed key challenges facing citizens. These include persistent power outages, declining essential services, and the continuous collapse of the national currency, which has exacerbated humanitarian suffering.

Participants emphasized that the silence of official authorities in the province regarding these crises is no longer acceptable. They urged local authorities and the government to take responsibility and implement immediate measures to alleviate citizens' hardships.

They stressed the need for unified community efforts and solidarity to pressure concerned parties into taking serious action, warning that continued deterioration without solutions could lead to widespread public unrest.

The committee condemned foreign interference, particularly the ongoing militarization of the district and attempts to sow discord within Al-Mahrah’s society, holding the Saudi-Emirati coalition fully responsible for instigating successive crises targeting the province in various sectors.

The meeting concluded with several recommendations, which were submitted to the leadership of the Peaceful Sit-in Committee in the province as an action plan to address all threats to the stability and security of Qishn district and Al-Mahrah as a whole.
