Berlin - Saba:
The German airline Lufthansa and the Spanish airline Europa announced on Sunday the suspension of their flights to and from Tel Aviv after a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen targeting an area at the country's main Ben Gurion Airport.
The Lufthansa Group, which also includes SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines, canceled all its scheduled flights on Sunday, according to its website, according to Russia Today. Other airlines, including Air Europa, Air India, and Italy's ITA, also announced the cancellation of their flights to Israel due to the targeting of Ben Gurion Airport by a Yemeni missile.
Earlier, Ben Gurion Airport temporarily halted takeoffs and landings after a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen, minutes before it entered Israeli airspace.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) failed to intercept the missile. The airport fully reopened an hour after the incident.
