Israeli enemy forces continue their aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 100th consecutive day, amid ongoing house demolitions, road construction, and the forced displacement of Palestinian citizens from their homes.
The Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported that Israeli enemy forces are continuing to send additional military reinforcements toward the camp and its surroundings on an ongoing basis, in addition to deploying infantry units in several neighborhoods of the city.
Most of the villages in the Jenin Governorate are also witnessing daily military movements and the daily presence of enemy patrols and vehicles.
Israeli enemy forces continue their destruction and bulldozing operations inside the camp, while continuing to prevent entry or access. Concerns have increased with the installation of iron gates at the camp entrances a few days ago by the occupation forces.
Official estimates indicate that all homes and facilities in the camp have been completely or partially damaged as a result of the ongoing aggression and the ongoing destruction and bulldozing operations aimed at altering the camp's structural makeup and features.
In addition, 800 housing units in the city have been partially damaged, in addition to 15 buildings that have been demolished in the city since the beginning of the aggression. Most of the damage to buildings and homes has been concentrated in the eastern neighborhood and the Al-Hadaf neighborhood, according to data from the Jenin Municipality.
Families from the camp, as well as hundreds of families from the city and surrounding areas, remain forcibly displaced. Official estimates from the Jenin Municipality indicate that the number of displaced persons from the camp and city has exceeded 22,000.
The economic situation in Jenin, a city that relies primarily on trade, continues to deteriorate. The city is suffering huge commercial losses as a result of the ongoing aggression, which has led to numerous commercial closures and the halting of shopping traffic into the city from outside.
This has also led to bulldozing and the destruction of infrastructure on the streets, with a large number of shops being damaged in the process. Some areas of the city are experiencing complete economic paralysis, especially in the western neighborhoods.
Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Jenin and its camp, 39 Palestinian citizens have been killed, dozens more injured, and arrests of citizens from various areas of the Jenin Governorate have escalated.
